I am very excited to announce my “Best Booth Design” Award from Today’s Bride. I recently attended their October Bridal Show in Akron at the Sheraton Suites. Before the show, I had a mock up of my booth set up in my basement. I had a vision and my mom and my husband helped me make it happen. My mom owns The Grainary – an antique shop near Toledo, Ohio – and she helped supply the vintage doors, pillars and foliage. Her shop is certainly an inspiration! My husband is a master at all trades. He helped me secure the doors together and paint the furniture we found together at local garage sales. (I love to go to garage and estate sales to see what I can find!)
The day of the show, my Mom and husband helped me set up. I was worried we wouldn’t have enough time to set up, but we managed in record time! My Mom was gracious enough to help me out at the show – she is such a great supporter! We met so many wonderful brides on the day of the show. I love hearing about all of the plans and visions the brides have for their weddings! Talking about weddings has always excited me and I will honestly say, it never gets old. So many wonderful ideas and I can’t wait to be able to make those visions a reality.
